About Pat

Pat was sworn in as a Hamilton County Commissioner on January 3, 2005 and has since been working to reform Hamilton County Government. Pat has been working hard on the Board of County Commissioners to fight out-of-control government spending and taxes, expose waste, and improve public safety.

Prior to his election to the County Commission, Pat served for five years on Cincinnati City Council where he led the fight for property tax rollbacks, cracked down on City abuse of taxpayers’ funds, and fought to eliminate excessive regulations and unnecessary bureaucracy. Pat was a leader of the successful 1999 Build Cincinnati charter reform effort that created the ballot initiative allowing Cincinnati voters to elect the City's Mayor directly.

Pat graduated in 1990 from Miami University, where he competed in Varsity track and cross country, with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. In 1994, he earned his law degree from the University of Michigan School Of Law, where he received the Order of the Coif honors and finished in the top ten percent of his class. Pat once ran a 2:30 marathon and finished in the top ½ of one percent in the Boston Marathon.

Pat lives in Pleasant Ridge, and practices law with Keating, Muething, & Klekamp P.L.L., specializing in mass tort bankruptcies. He is the proud father of three sons, Michael (10), Matthew (9), and Brian (5).
