Judge: Homeless Shelter Can Move to Queensgate


A judge’s ruling cleared the legal hurdles that will allow the City Gospel Mission homeless shelter to move from Over-the-Rhine to Queensgate.

“At this point, there is nothing left to stop them,” Tim Burke, the attorney representing City Gospel, said Thursday.

Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Pat DeWine ruled that the city of Cincinnati legally changed its zoning to allow the move, something that was the subject of a lawsuit filed last year by several business owners in Queensgate.
